MISSION STATEMENT
Click - Rhapsody in Blue
The Silverwood Clarinet Choir’s mission is deeply
rooted in the concept of “musical communication” and encourages involvement in
music for people at all stages of life. The Silverwood Clarinet Choir’s mission
strives to be a leader in performance, music education, and recorded works made
available to audiences at live performances and to audiences world-wide on the
Internet.
This mission incorporates five objectives: · To make a substantial contribution to musical life locally, nationally and internationally. · To give our audiences memorable performance experiences with the highest quality clarinet choir music in a wide range of musical styles. · To foster and promote wind music and the adult musical ensemble concept through concerts, tours, recordings, and commissions. · To assist in the music education of young people — the future generation of adult musicians— through the presentation of concerts and clinics. · To provide our members with an opportunity for advanced, challenging musical expression and growth with their fellow colleagues. Donations are greatly appreciated to help support public concerts, purchase music and equipment. Thank you! #SilverwoodCC
